This book provides a wide range of language activities that students can do using free online tools. It aims to teach language, about language and the process of discovering aspects of language for themselves.

​Concordle allows users to paste a text, obtain a clickable word cloud of it. Clicking produces concordances of the text.

Wordle is perhaps the best-known word cloud software available today. The images it produces from the text input grace presentation slides, book covers, T shirts and webpages galore.

SKELL stands for Sketch Engine for Language Learning and is a student-friendly interface into its own corpus of over one billion words. There is also a SKELL corpus for Russian and for Czech.
